Beautiful handmade cards
People don't seem to use traditional mail greeting cards as much nowadays. After all I'm the first to admit, it is easier (and cheaper) to send an email, Facebook message or even an E-card. But I think people really do still enjoy receiving a thoughtful handmade card.
Opening the mailbox to find that someone has sent a birthday card, holiday card or just a note to say "hi" is sure to make you feel special. As an artist, cards are a good way to utilize my art. They also offer an opportunity for many people to enjoy my work and for me to really get my work out into the world. Just this week I have sold cards to people from Japan, Australia and all over the USA! For me this is very cool! I really enjoy making cards (so far) and have been having fun experimenting with various designs and different artworks.
And with the holiday season coming quickly .. I have been working on some special Christmas cards or as we say in Hawai'i, "Mele Kalikimaka"!
My experience has been that people really do appreciate a handmade card, especially in this age of e-mails, texts and social media.. so I plan on continuing to make them.. as long as people keep buying them :)
